About Kebun Lodge

A Practice Rooted in
the Garden Tradition

We began with a simple conviction — that Singapore's finest residences are defined as much by their gardens and surroundings as by the rooms within.

Our Story

Founded Among the Trees of Ridout Road

Kebun Lodge was established in Singapore's Ridout Road neighbourhood — a stretch of colonial-era landed homes where mature rain trees arch over the road and private gardens still hold depth and age. Our founders had each spent years working in property before concluding that most rental services paid too little attention to the green surroundings that make a Singapore home genuinely liveable.

The name Kebun — the Malay word for garden — reflects our orientation from the outset. We are interested in homes where the boundary between interior and exterior is soft, where garden maintenance forms part of daily life, and where a long-term tenant can form a relationship with a property over seasons.

Since our founding, we have worked with residents across Singapore's most established green corridors — Nassim, Holland Road, Cluny Park, Bukit Timah — assisting with residence discovery, tenancy formation, and the ongoing care of landed and garden-facing homes.

Our Mission

Thoughtful Tenancy, Properly Supported

Our work is guided by a belief that property rental in Singapore's most verdant districts calls for a different kind of attention. A landed home with a mature garden requires custodianship, not just management. A lease in a prestigious address deserves careful reading, not a cursory check.

We keep our client list deliberately selective, so that each engagement receives the time and care it merits. We do not rush recommendations, and we do not push properties that are merely available — only those we believe are genuinely suited to each client's circumstances and preferences.

How We Work

Professional Standards We Hold To

Client Confidentiality

All client information and property details are handled with strict discretion. We do not share client data with third parties without consent.

CEA Compliance

Our practice operates in accordance with the Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) requirements, ensuring all property services meet Singapore's regulatory standards.

Property Due Diligence

Each recommended property is assessed in person by our team. We verify title, inspect the grounds, and evaluate landlord history before presenting it to a client.

Documentation Accuracy

All tenancy documents are reviewed for accuracy, completeness and IRAS stamp duty compliance before signatures are sought from either party.

Garden Stewardship Standards

Our custodianship contractors are selected for their knowledge of Singapore's tropical planting conditions and adherence to National Parks Board guidelines.

Clear Communication

We commit to responding within one business day and providing written summaries of all significant developments in a matter, without jargon.

Our Approach

Property Knowledge Shaped by Singapore's Garden Heritage

Singapore's colonial-era residential districts — Ridout, Nassim, Holland, Cluny, Dalvey — represent some of the most distinctive urban landscapes in Southeast Asia. Properties here are often characterised by their relationship with mature tree cover, private garden space, and architectural features that speak to another period of building. Navigating this market requires familiarity not just with floor areas and lease terms, but with the qualities of light, soil depth, drainage patterns, and the seasonal habits of long-established plant communities.

At Kebun Lodge, our advisers have developed their knowledge of these districts through years of on-the-ground work — accompanying clients on multiple walkthroughs, studying how properties change through Singapore's wet and dry seasons, and building relationships with the landlords, horticulturalists, and specialist contractors who maintain these estates over time.

This depth of familiarity allows us to offer clients genuinely informed guidance — not just on which properties are available, but on what it means to live in each one through the full cycle of a tenancy.
